What a wonderful second day here in Hagerstown, MD! After a night’s stay in host homes, the students returned early to the church refreshed and rejuvenated. We began the morning with laundry and manual labor until lunch. What’s so amazing about our morning is that laundry was provided for free by a couple in the church! And what’s more, they also provided lunch for us at Pizza Hut…an all you can eat buffet! What a blessing and a testament to this church’s ministry in this area. During our manual labor time we also passed out door hangers for the VBS that the church is hosting at the end of the month.
After lunch we spent some time as a team doing our beloved pole game (which the students successfully accomplished!) and then Bethany K. taught us all about worship. The students then had an hour with God, and then we joined together for another wonderful meal provided by the church for dinner. Shortly after, we traveled to a nearby park where we ministered by putting on a program and spending time with the people who attended. The students were picked up by their host families from the park and they went home to have a relaxing evening.
