Our final day of orientation has come to a close and our teams head out for ministry tomorrow. It began with the precious opportunity to do laundry! Half of each team headed to the Laundromat to do laundry for the entire team. While working on laundry the team members got the opportunity to talk to people there and work on drama lines. The remainder of the team who did not go stayed at the church and worked on 3 -group things. The church was filled with puppet, pantomime, and dance music as each team worked hard to finish everything!
Lunch today was sponsored by Grace College and they provided us with delicious pizza (thanks, Grace College)! TK, Bekah, and Kari shared about Grace College and what they can offer to the students. It was great to hear about a college who is biblically based and believes in the ministry of CE National! Following lunch each team headed into more choir, speech choir, and 3 group practice. TK also took the opportunity to talk to the students about their ministry this summer and some simple principles. These principles are important encouragement to the students as they prepare to head out on tour tomorrow! Team 123 had the opportunity to do a program for Morningstar Daycare, a ministry of Lititz Grace Church. They did a wonderful job with their first program and were able to love on the kids that attended.
Team 123 headed to McDonald’s for dinner tonight and then made a Target stop, while Team 314 had dinner on $2. Each team is enjoying this time they are getting together and each student continually shares their excitement to head out onto tour with one another! Both teams took time after dinner to make final touches to their 3 group songs and dances.
Orientation finished out with a 3-fold Communion as a group of Operation Barnabas 2013 students and leaders!  Communion is a wonderful way to prepare our hearts for the ministry that lay ahead this summer. Before we can truly minister to those around us we need to make sure that our hearts are focused on Christ and that we remember what He did for us on the cross! Everyone is excited to head out on tour tomorrow and truly begin their ministry as an Operation Barnabas team.
Be praying for us as we clean up the church tomorrow and travel to the next destination! We trust that God will do great things in and through us and we hope that you join us in that prayer!
