Northeast Team-July 12th, About My Father's Business

What an exciting day for the Northeast Team! Today we spent the whole day with an organization called “About My Fathers Business.” We were able to partner with the youth group from Clinton, Maryland, and some people from the Northwest Chapel in Dublin, Ohio. Between these four ministries we spent the morning preparing for the carnival that we would later in the day for the people in the community.
Around Lunch time people started coming to the carnival. Our students did a great job at initiating many conversations with people from the community. Our team was able to do two different programs today and they both led to spiritual conversations with the people. The carnival lasted the whole afternoon and our students were able to lead carnival games, serve food, and initiate conversations with people. The area we were in was near a family shelter so many of the people in the shelter came.
We ended the day with a gospel message led by Pastor Joyce, which led to over ten decisions for Christ. It was thrilling to partner with this ministry that is making a huge impact for Christ in the inner city D.C.
Please pray for our team as we lead the Grace Brethren Church in tomorrow mornings service.
