OBI- July 16- Living through the Typhoon!

Thank you for all of your prayers the past 24 hours! I will let Cari tell you the details of today but we saw God’s faithfulness today in large ways even though our original plans were cancelled. Please continue to be praying for Manila as we have heard that there is some damage there. We are scheduled to fly out to Manila tomorrow and we are praying that everything can still go as planned there! For now, continue praying and enjoy Cari’s short and sweet update 🙂
WE ARE ALIVE!!!! 🙂 Actually, we’re still very safe at the Vista House. All our plans changed at breakfast when we found out our plane was cancelled. Usually this means we still have to go to the airport, otherwise we lose our tickets. Thankfully, Dan Beaver went to the travel agent and got tickets rescheduled for a plane tomorrow morning instead. So, we stayed at the Vista all day and played games.  Almost all of our team even ran down to the beach during one of the breaks in the storm to see the beautiful beach and the strong winds! Many of us took naps since we woke up at 6:30 expecting to leave early. Many good conversations took place and Kate, Rachel, and Jade helped cook dinner. A relaxing day was had by all. Now for a good night’s rest before getting up at 6am to start a day of travelling (if all goes as planned). Thanks for your continued prayers as we travel a lot within the next few days! And don’t worry, Jade is keeping us very safe 🙂
