Salmon, Trout, Cod, and a large Sea Bass. All of these are types of fish. But these are not the type of fish you”ll see these O.Ber’s fishing for! Today the students meet with Ed Lewis for outreach training to learn how to start conversations with people using the acronym F.I.S.H. In case you were wondering F.I.S.H stands for: Friendly; Initiate; Story or Serve; and Hope.
After their first session we were supplied with lunch by Grace College and they were given a tour of the campus. Then it was back to business with more outreach training and they were also able given some time to develop their lessons and devotionals. If you thought I wasn’t going to mention choir then you’re wrong!!!! The O.Ber’s were able to have their first practice attempting not use music and believe me they sound great!
Grace College once again supplied our meal and we headed to the Russell center for the final events of the evening. In order to help them strengthen their evangelism skills, members of the community joined the leaders for a role playing activity to show different scenarios and how to share the Gospel. Finally, we ended the night with a final choir practice and some heart searching time for the students to be alone with God.
Pray for them this week as they continue to prepare for the summer and that God will use them in BIG, BIG ways!
Many Praises and Goodnight from Winona Lake!
