Operation Barna-BUSY – June 22nd

Today was another long day at orientation, but it was a very rewarding one! In the morning, students got to work on their object lessons and devotions that they will share later in the summer. After dinner, each team had a talent show displaying individual students’ abilities as well as some humor. Finally, the night closed out with a challenge hour on the topic of servanthood, leading into a time of communion. During the three-fold communion, OBers split into discipleship groups, washed each other’s feet, had a love feast, and took the bread and cup in remembrance of Christ’s death. Though a full day, it was a day with lots of progress, fun, and growth, and we got to see God do some cool things.
In the midst of these activities, both teams were able to take a tour of Grace College, who have been providing meals for us this week. In addition, TK talked to students about safety issues (and how to prevent them), and Dave shared about how to give a testimony.
It was a very productive day in terms of programming. Students progressed in choir, speech choir, and 3 group activities. Which is good! Because tomorrow is the last day of orientation, and teams will begin doing programs. Though we saw God work today, please continue to pray for us as we enter tomorrow and the teams will officially split up and begin touring. We thank you for your continued support as we strive forward!
